What does the morning of the event look like and how do we plan for it?

The key to a stress-free relaxing morning the day of your wedding is planning! We coordinate with you, your photographer and event planner to make sure our timeline fits with the flow of the day!

Here is what that looks like:

  • The final count is due 60 days before the day of the wedding. At this time, the services and invoice amount are confirmed and finalized! If there is a cancellation after that point, the invoice amount will not change. We can usually accommodate additional services if they are requested at least a week before the event and if the timeline has room for flexibility. Please don’t hesitate to ask!

  • Next, we get a timeline from your photographer or event planner. They will consult with you to decide how much time is needed for photos before the ceremony, how much travel time is needed if getting ready off-site, and any other factors that come into play! We then work backwards from there to determine a start time based on the services you booked.

  • We will arrive early to set up our work stations. We bring everything we need, from a table and makeup chair, to all the makeup and hair supplies you can imagine! We will deliver the look you desire, on time, and with exceptionally high standard of products, tools, and the most important thing of all, sanitation. We use disposable applicators and we sanitize all brushes and combs between each client.

  • We follow an appointment schedule. We are happy to be flexible if needed, but in order to stay on time, each person will have an appointment start time! This makes sure there aren’t unnecessary delays in between appointments. Remind your bridesmaids and family members to be onsite BEFORE their appointment time!

  • We work with clean, dry hair and clean faces. “dirty hair is best” is a bit of a myth! If your hair is oily and limp, it will be very difficult for us to get the stunning results you are looking for! You know your hair best - it doesn’t need to be freshly washed but don’t let it get too dirty either. If you are washing your hair the morning of the wedding, please make sure it is COMPLETELY dry before your appointment time. If we have to add 10 minutes of blowdrying to your appointment time, we are going to run behind schedule. Wash your face and moisturize as normal! Go easy on the SPF… it can reflect poorly in photographs! Check out some of our beauty tips here. Wear a top that doesn’t have to be removed over your head. This includes undergarments!

  • To help us stay on schedule, book your beauty add-ons ahead of time! Lashes, hair extensions, long hair, etc. We need to allow a little extra time for these services.

  • Before we leave, we will do touchups on everyone. Hair spray and adjustments, curl touchups, lip touchups, etc. This ensures you head out looking fresh and photo ready!
